After 17 years of continuosly living aboard our 41-foot sailboat, Kavenga, we have finally put one foot on shore. In May of 2006, we purchased a condo apartment overlooking Marina Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. We now spend the cold half of the year living down here and the warm half aboard Kavenga up north.

We've been (rather Steve has been) derelict in our duty to keep our website fresh. This is due to laziness or lack of anything worthwhile to publish. We finally have a couple of new pages (see below), and we'll at least try to change the home page photo and caption a little more often so that our diehard friends and relatives receive at least some small reward for checking our site now and then.

The photo on the right is from a scanned 35mm slide photo taken in 1992. Kavenga and her frequent companion Ram are seen here anchored in Whangaroa Bay, New Zealand, north of the Bay of Islands.

We know some of our pages don't always display correctly on other computers. Please send an email to kavenga at-sign att dot net if that happens in your case. We've reduced the size of the photos in the new page to hopefully minimize such problems.

The new pages just added to the site are: The Magical History Tour, a genealogical expedition in search of Steve's roots (yawn), and the Road Trip photos of the other sights we saw during that trip from Washington State to New York State and back. A few photos have also been added to our Cycling page.
